Folds Study

Had to study draping which has always given me grief in the past. Still giving me a headache but I think it looks good so far. I added an arm to the mannequin because her armlessness disturbed me. The hand has to be reworked so I'll get to that later. Sorry for the poor picture quality. I'll be sure to have a good, clear one for the final shot.

Update: Still trucking along. Redrew the hand but I'm still not sure it looks right. What do you think viewers? Accurate hand or not?

Update 2: Finished it off after staying up till 3 in the morning. The shading on the arm didn't turn out how I wanted but whatever. It was that or get it too dark to the point that it would match the cloth. Lightened a few areas and decreased the contrast in some of the folds that were jumping out too much. Not a fun drawing to work on by any means but very useful for building up technique. I feel confident in saying that should I need to draw folds in clothing in the future, I can do it...with references of course.
